How SellerBooks handles your data
Last updated: September 27, 2026
SellerBooks is a profitability dashboard for Indian marketplace sellers, built and operated by Navera Technologies Private Limited("SellerBooks," "we," "us," or "our"). This policy covers everything SellerBooks touches — the web application, the Amazon India and Flipkart OAuth connections, and the SellerBooks Marketplace Integration browser extension.
We wrote this to describe exactly what we do, not to promise more than what's actually built. If something below stops matching reality, tell us at privacy@sellerbooks.in and we'll fix either the product or this page.
What we collect
Depending on which parts of SellerBooks you use, we collect:
- Account details — your name, email, company name, and password (stored hashed, never in plain text).
- Marketplace data — orders, fees, returns, settlements, and ad campaign data, synced from Amazon India and Flipkart via their official OAuth APIs, or from Meesho via the browser extension described below.
- Product data you enter — SKUs, cost of goods, and product names you add for profitability tracking.
- Business identifiers — company name and GSTIN, where you provide them, used to label your own data correctly.
- Aggregate usage analytics — which pages and features are used, to guide what we build next. Not tied to individual customer behavior on your marketplace listings.
The SellerBooks Marketplace Integration browser extension
Meesho does not offer sellers an official API. The browser extension is how SellerBooks reads your Meesho order data instead — it works only because you're already logged into your own Meesho seller account in that browser. This section exists specifically to meet the Chrome Web Store's disclosure requirements for what a browser extension collects.
What it never does
- It never sees, reads, or stores your Meesho password or one-time login codes. You log into Meesho's own real login page, exactly as you always have.
- It never reads or transmits data from any site other than Meesho's supplier portal and SellerBooks' own servers.
- It never sells or shares this data with advertisers, data brokers, or any third party — the only place it goes is your own SellerBooks account.
What it does collect, and why
- Your Meesho seller identity (a numeric seller ID and your registered business name), read from your browser's existing Meesho session — used to label the data as yours and confirm which Meesho account is connected.
- Order and return data from Meesho's own seller-facing endpoints — order status, SKUs, amounts, and fulfillment details. Because Meesho's systems return this as part of order records, it can include your end customers' name, shipping address, and phone number as attached to your own orders. This is used only to power your SellerBooks dashboard (profit, returns, and fee analysis) — it is never used to build profiles of your customers, and never leaves the SellerBooks systems built to serve your account.
- Extension diagnostics — the extension's own version number and whether a sync succeeded or failed, so we can tell if something needs fixing.
Single purpose:the extension does exactly one thing — sync your Meesho seller data into your own SellerBooks account. It requests access to Meesho's supplier portal for that reason alone, and to no other site.
SellerBooks Marketplace Integration is an independent tool built by Navera Technologies Private Limited. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to Meesho in any way.
What we never collect
- Marketplace platform passwords — Amazon India and Flipkart connect via OAuth (we only ever hold a revocable sign-in token, encrypted at rest); Meesho connects via your browser's own already-logged-in session, never a typed password.
- Payment card details — subscription billing is handled by Razorpay; SellerBooks never sees or stores your card number.
- Any customer data beyond what a marketplace itself attaches to your own order records.
How we store and protect your data
- All data is stored in Microsoft Azure's Central India region (Pune) — no cross-border transfer without your explicit consent.
- OAuth sign-in tokens are encrypted at rest with AES-256; the extension's own credential is stored only as a one-way SHA-256 hash, never in reversible form.
- All traffic between your browser, our servers, and connected marketplaces runs over TLS 1.3.
- Every database query is scoped to your company — one seller's data is never mixed with another's.
See our full Security & Compliance page for more detail.
Data retention and deletion
If you close your account, your data enters a 30-day grace period (in case you change your mind), after which it is permanently deleted. You can request immediate deletion at any time by writing to us.
Your rights
In line with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and general good practice, you can at any time:
- Access all data we hold about you, via your dashboard or by request.
- Export your data in CSV, JSON, or PDF format.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request complete erasure of your account and data.
- Opt out of analytics and marketing communications.
- Disconnect any marketplace connection (including the browser extension) at any time — this stops future data collection immediately.
To exercise any of these, or to raise a grievance about how your data is handled, write to our grievance contact at privacy@sellerbooks.in. We aim to respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
SellerBooks is a business tool for registered marketplace sellers and is not directed at, or knowingly used by, children.
